3 things about A Rainy Day in New York

1

Born in Brooklyn in 1935, Woody Allen is one of the most important directors in cinema history and the personification of the neurotic Jew on the silver screen. With more than 50 films already made, released annually like clockwork, the list of his classics is endless. Winner of four Oscars (Best Original Screenplay and Best Director for Annie Hall, and Best Original Screenplay for Hannah and Her Sisters and Midnight in Paris) from an absurd total of 24 nominations.

2

Dakota Fanning's younger sister Elle debuted as a younger version of Dakota in I Am Sam but first made a real impression in JJ Abrams' Super 8 and is currently Princess Aurora in Maleficent (2014, 2019).

3

Timothée Chalamet is one of Hollywood's most promising young actors. Call Me by Your Name (2017) won him an Oscar nomination (he stars in the sequel). He featured in Beautiful Boy, worked with Woody Allen and on the Netflix mega-production The King. We'll soon see him in the new version of Little Women by Greta Gerwig and Dennis Villeneuve's remake of Dune.
